History of Political Thought (HPT) is a quarterly journal which was launched in 1980 to fill a genuine academic need for a forum for work in this multi-disciplinary area. Although a subject central to the study of politics and history, researchers in this field had previously to compete for publication space in journals whose intellectual centres of gravity were located in other disciplines. The journal is devoted exclusively to the historical study of political ideas and associated methodological problems. The primary focus is on research papers, with extensive book reviews and bibliographic surveys also included. All articles are refereed.

Hobbes Studies is an international peer reviewed scholarly journal. Its interests are twofold; first, in publishing research about the philosophical, political, historical, literary, and scientific matters related to Thomas Hobbes's own thought, at the beginning of the modern state and the rise of science, and also in a comparison of his views to other important thinkers; second, because of Hobbes's enduring influence in stimulating social and political theory, the journal is interested in publishing such discussions. Articles and occasional book reviews are peer reviewed. The International Hobbes Association is associated with the journal but submissions are open.

Human Affairs: Postdisciplinary Humanities & Social Sciences Quarterly (founded in 1990 as Human Affairs) is an international journal for humanities and social sciences published in English by the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Slovakia. It aims to bring together contributions from all traditional and non-traditional fields of humanities and social sciences which relate to crucial contemporary human affairs. The underlying editorial strategy is to advance human self-understanding and communication via publishing innovative theoretical, interpretative, critical and historical contributions transcending traditional disciplinary and cultural frontiers. Human Studies is a quarterly journal dedicated primarily to advancing the dialogue between philosophy and the human sciences. Coverage addresses the logic of inquiry, methodology, epistemology and foundational issues in the human sciences exemplified by original empirical, theoretical and philosophical investigations. Phenomenological perspectives, broadly defined, are a primary focus. The journal benefits scholars in a variety of fields who seek a forum addressing these issues, in order to bridge the gap between philosophy and the human sciences. The wide-ranging coverage includes contributions from sociology, psychology, anthropology, history, geography, linguistics, semiotics, communication studies, ethnomethodology, political science, and philosophy. Human Studies is the official journal of the Society for Phenomenology and the Human Sciences.

Husserl Studies is an international forum for the presentation, discussion, criticism, and development of Husserl's philosophy. It also publishes papers devoted to systematic investigations in the various philosophical sub-areas of phenomenological research (e.g., theory of intentionality, theory of meaning, ethics and action theory, etc.), where such work is oriented toward the development, adaptation, and/or criticism of Husserlian phenomenology. Husserl Studies also invites contributions dealing with phenomenology in relation to other directions in philosophy such as hermeneutics, critical theory, and the various modes of analytic philosophy. The aim, in keeping with Husserl's own philosophical self-understanding, is to demonstrate that phenomenology is a reflective and methodologically disciplined form of philosophical inquiry that can and must prove itself through its handling of concrete problems. Thus Husserl Studies provides a venue for careful textual work on Husserl's published and unpublished writings and for historical, systematic, and problem-oriented phenomenological inquiry. It also publishes critical reviews of current work on Husserl, and reviews of other philosophical literature that has a direct bearing on the themes and areas of interest to Husserl Studies.

The Indo-Iranian Journal, founded in 1957, focuses on the ancient and medieval languages and cultures of South Asia and of pre-islamic Iran. It publishes articles on Indo-Iranian languages (linguistics and literatures), such as Sanskrit, Avestan, Middle Iranian and Middle & New Indo-Aryan. It publishes specialized research on ancient Iranian religion and the Indian religions, such as the Veda, Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism (including Tibetan). The journal welcomes epigraphical studies as well as general contributions to the understanding of the (pre-modern) history and culture of South Asia. Illustrations are accepted. A substantial part of Indo-Iranian Journal is reserved for reviews of new research. Twice a year it contains a detailed bibliography of all publications received. The Journal predominantly publishes articles in English and occasionaly in French and German.

Inquiry is an Interdisciplinary Journal of Philosophy. Founded by Arne Naess in 1958, Inquiry has come to occupy a distinctive and highly valued place amongst the philosophical journals. Inquiry is a refereed journal, publishing in all areas of philosophy. This journal explores the cultural nature of human conduct and its evolutionary history, anthropology, ethology, communication processes between people and within -- as well as between -- societies. It integrates perspectives of the social and biological sciences through theoretical models of epigenesis. Integrative Psychological & Behavioral Science (IPBS) features articles that cover theoretical integration of ideas, epistemology of social and biological sciences, and original empirical research articles of general scientific value. IPBS covers the history of the social sciences as relevant for development of theoretical perspectives and empirical elaborations within the social and biological sciences. The organ of no single institution or sectarian school, philosophical or religious, the International Journal for Philosophy of Religion provides a medium for the exposition, development, and criticism of important philosophical insights and theories relevant to religion in any of its varied forms. It also provides a forum for critical, constructive, and interpretative consideration of religion from an objective philosophical point of view.

As the first international journal entirely devoted to philosophical skepticism, the International Journal for the Study of Skepticism publishes high-quality articles and discussion notes on any field of research relevant to the study of skeptical thought. The journal also contains critical notices and reviews of major books on skepticism, and organizes book symposia on recent ground-breaking works. On occasion, it publishes special issues devoted to current lively debates on specific topics or authors.
