The Journal of Comparative Asian Development aims to offer the most up-to-date research, analyses, and findings on the many aspects of social, economic, and political development in contemporary Asia conducted by scholars and experts from Asia and elsewhere. It intends to offer in-depth as well as comparative studies which will interest scholars, private and public institutions, entrepreneurs, as well as policymakers. Above all, it aspires to serve as an international forum for Asian academics and experts with their counterparts from the rest of the world. Considerable emphasis is placed on comparative development to overcome a common weakness of regional studies, based on the belief that the latter will be enhanced by a comparative approach, together with theory-building and theory-adaptation. This journal provides a platform for the discussion of theoretical linguistic research into the modern and older languages and dialects of the Germanic family. The Journal of Comparative Germanic Linguistics features contributions that establish robust empirical generalizations within a formal theory of grammar that permit precise discussions. Its coverage offers cross-linguistic comparison within the Germanic family as well as elucidates issues in Germanic linguistics through the exemplary analysis of one Germanic language. The Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis: Research and Practice aims to stimulate the further intellectual development of comparative policy studies and the growth of an international community of scholars in the field. It gives priority to comparative studies that:Contribute to comparative theory development;Present theory-based empirical research;Offer comparative evaluations of research methods;Derive the practice implications of theory-based research;Use conceptual heuristics to interpret practice;Draw lessons based on circumstances in which the domains compared have certain manipulable policy, program or institutional variables in common. Published five times per year, the JCPA is the only explicitly comparative journal of policy studies. It invites manuscripts that address public policy analysis and related public administration and management in this unique manner. The Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication (JCMC) is a web-based, peer-reviewed scholarly journal. Its focus is social science research on computer-mediated communication via the Internet, the World Wide Web, and wireless technologies. Within that general purview, the journal is broadly interdisciplinary, publishing work by scholars in communication, business, education, political science, sociology, media studies, information science, and other disciplines. Acceptable formats for submission include original research articles, meta-analyses of prior research, synthesizing literature surveys, and proposals for special issues. JCMC is available online only. JCMC is one of the oldest web-based Internet studies journals in existence, having been published quarterly continuously since June 1995. The journal was started by Margaret McLaughlin and Sheizaf Rafaeli in response to the growth of CMC scholarship in the early- to mid-1990s. The founding editors had the vision to make JCMC an open-access, online journal. This, combined with high quality standards, proved to be a recipe for success: today JCMC is widely read and cited by CMC scholars around the world.
