Behavioural Processes is dedicated to the publication of high-quality original research on animal behaviour from any theoretical perspective. It welcomes contributions that consider animal behaviour from behavioural analytic, cognitive, ethological, ecological and evolutionary points of view. This list is not intended to be exhaustive, and papers that integrate theory and methodology across disciplines are particularly welcome.The quality of research and focus on behavioural processes are the sole criteria for acceptance. Behavioural Processes considers both papers investigating basic behavioural phenomena and behavioural studies of more applied significance. Papers reporting solely on human behaviour may be considered for publication if they relate closely to non-human research within the journal's remit. Authors of papers reporting research on human subjects are invited to contact the editors for advice prior to submission, as they are for papers of all kinds.Behavioural Processes publishes three categories of paper. First, regular Research Papers presenting the results of original experiments or outlining novel theoretical positions. Second, Reviews which summarize the state of knowledge in an area of animal behavioural research. Third, Short Reports which are short communications reporting the outcome of a single experiment in no more than 2000 words and a total of two tables or figures.

BioControl, the official journal of the International Organization for Biological Control, presents original papers on basic and applied research in all aspects of biological control of invertebrate, vertebrate and weed pests, and plant diseases. Coverage includes biology and ecology of organisms for biological control, and aspects of use including biological controls for integrated pest management, such as plant resistance, pheromones and intercropping. Organisms covered include parasitoids, invertebrate and vertebrate predators of pest animals and plants, mites, plant and insect pathogens, nematodes, and weeds. The journal publishes interdisciplinary papers with a global perspective on the use of biological control in integrated pest management systems, and related developments in molecular biology and biotechnology that have direct relevance. Bioacoustics is the only international peer-reviewed journal devoted to the study and recording of animal sounds. Bioactive Carbohydrates and Dietary Fibre is intended to be an international journal focused on dietary fibre, and bioactive carbohydrates (including bioactive polysaccharides, oligosaccharides and glycoproteins. It will include original studies and comprehensive reviews on the primary structure, molecular characteristics including conformation, size and shape, and bioactivities demonstrated by studies using in vitro, cell culture, animal and human clinical trials for understanding the action mechanisms and efficacy of bioactive carbohydrates from plants, fungi, animals and produced by biotechnology.Specific bioactivities such as reducing serum cholesterol, modulating blood glucose and insulin levels, fermentability in the gastrointestinal track, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory, immune regulatory and anti-oxidant activities demonstrated by these bioactive carbohydrates are the main focus of this journal. Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology is the official journal of the International Society of Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology (ISBAB). The journal publishes high quality articles especially in the science and technology of biocatalysis, bioprocesses, agricultural biotechnology, biomedical biotechnology, and, if appropriate, from other related areas of biotechnology. Biochemical Genetics links the sciences of biology, chemistry and genetics by offering an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of new developments. The extraordinary scope, dynamics, and progress that characterize modern biochemical genetics are reflected in the journal's original papers on fundamental experimental and theoretical research in the biochemical genetics of all organisms, from viruses to humans. Coverage includes the molecular aspects of genetic variation and evolution, mutation, gene action and regulation, immunogenetics, somatic cell genetics, and nucleic acid function in heredity and development, and with the biochemical aspects of genetic defects.

Biochemical Systematics and Ecology is devoted to the publication of original papers and reviews, both submitted and invited, in two subject areas: (i) the application of biochemistry to problems relating to systematic biology of organisms (biochemical systematics); (ii) the role of biochemistry in interactions between organisms or between an organism and its environment (biochemical ecology). Papers will be grouped in each issue according to subject area. Research papers should generally be of completed investigations. Preliminary reports will be published where findings are considered to be of sufficient interest to justify rapid publication. In addition, short reports of new sources of known compounds (New Source Reports) will be accepted where they can be justified in terms of systematic or ecological significance. These reports must be written to a standard format.One volume will appear annually and eleven issues will constitute a volume.
