Human Nature

ISSN: 1045-6767eISSN: 1936-4776
JUFO Level 1

Human Nature is dedicated to advancing the interdisciplinary investigation of the biological, social, and environmental factors that underlie human behavior. It focuses primarily on the functional unity in which these factors are continuously and mutually interactive. These include the evolutionary, biological, and sociological processes as they interact with human social behavior; the biological and demographic consequences of human history; the cross-cultural, cross-species, and historical perspectives on human behavior; and the relevance of a biosocial perspective to scientific, social, and policy issues.

Human Physiology

ISSN: 0362-1197eISSN: 1608-3164
JUFO Level 1

The purpose of this journal is to promote the integration of theories, methods, and research in human physiology. The journal publishes original studies on brain function and its disturbances, including neural mechanisms subserving perception, learning, memory, emotion, and language. Human Physiology provides a forum for many physiological areas, such as respiration, circulation, the blood system, motor functions, and digestion, as well as sport and occupational physiology. All kinds of papers on environmental physiology, including adaptation to extreme (polar zone, desert) and new (space) external conditions, are encouraged. Each year, from one to three numbers of the journal are dedicated to the broad consideration of a selected problem (e.g., mechanisms of adaptation to natural factors or development of the brain functions of children). The Editorial Board is highly interested in the cooperation of scientists from all countries and accepts manuscripts submitted in English.

Husserl Studies

ISSN: 0167-9848eISSN: 1572-8501
JUFO Level 3

Husserl Studies is an international forum for the presentation, discussion, criticism, and development of Husserl's philosophy. It also publishes papers devoted to systematic investigations in the various philosophical sub-areas of phenomenological research (e.g., theory of intentionality, theory of meaning, ethics and action theory, etc.), where such work is oriented toward the development, adaptation, and/or criticism of Husserlian phenomenology. Husserl Studies also invites contributions dealing with phenomenology in relation to other directions in philosophy such as hermeneutics, critical theory, and the various modes of analytic philosophy. The aim, in keeping with Husserl's own philosophical self-understanding, is to demonstrate that phenomenology is a reflective and methodologically disciplined form of philosophical inquiry that can and must prove itself through its handling of concrete problems. Thus Husserl Studies provides a venue for careful textual work on Husserl's published and unpublished writings and for historical, systematic, and problem-oriented phenomenological inquiry. It also publishes critical reviews of current work on Husserl, and reviews of other philosophical literature that has a direct bearing on the themes and areas of interest to Husserl Studies.

IIC - International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law

ISSN: 0018-9855eISSN: 2195-0237
JUFO Level 3

The International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law (IIC), tracks worldwide developments in intellectual property and competition law, presenting the finest academic research in these fields from a European legal perspective.  Our scholarly emphasis concentrates on disseminating and expanding upon the European approach to law. Our goal is to set ourselves apart from other (esp. several US) publications. To this end we focus on two specific aims:(1)   The most significant legal developments from around the world (including, in particular, Asia), are taken up and considered within the European context. These developments are presented in a manner that is understandable not only to a European audience, but also to US and Japanese readers.(2)   Current legal developments occurring in Europe are examined in such a way that the non-European reader can appreciate their significance.IIC offers a platform for opposing ideas, providing for rich debate on a host of current IP and competition law topics. The value of IIC for European specialists, going beyond other “European” journals, rests in our treatment of non-European topics combined with our illuminating analyses of European legal developments as seen within a global legal context. For non-European specialists, IIC is the medium of choice as it explores developments extending beyond strictly European legal issues (i.e. developments in Asia, India, the Near East, Africa, Latin and North America), while at the same time conveying a European viewpoint on these events. In this respect, the target readership comprises those (including Americans and Asians) interested in more than merely legal developments in the USA.We make no compromises with regard to the scholarly nature of the journal. This commitment is the aspect that separates IIC from a host of other journals on the topic. However, the communication of our content consistently maintains a, reference to practice. Thus, it is not the average lawyer who is targeted, but the specialist who has an interest in scholarly debate.IIC’s central feature is high-quality articles with a firm theoretical foundation submitted from experts around the world. IIC also prints reports and opinions on IP and competition law events and issues occurring around the globe. In addition, we translate and publish the most important decisions from jurisdictions worldwide (including non-mainstream jurisdictions), providing our readers with a unique service found almost nowhere else. Finally, IIC looks back on a more than 40-year history of publication. Each volume builds on this tradition of academic excellence. Our established foundation provides a unique basis upon which our readers are able to research and explore coming developments in IP and competition law in the decades to come.
