Innovations in Systems and Software Engineering: A NASA Journal addresses issues and innovations in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Software Engineering, Software Development and other related areas that are specifically of interest to NASA. The journal includes peer-reviewed world-class technical papers on topics of research, development and practice related to NASA's missions and projects, topics of interest to NASA for future use, and topics describing problem areas for NASA together with potential solutions. Papers that do not address issues related to NASA are of course very welcome, provided that they address topics that NASA might like to consider for the future. Papers are solicited from NASA and government employees, contractors, NASA-supported academic and industrial partners, and non-NASA-supported academics and industrialists both in the USA and worldwide. The journal includes updates on NASA innovations, articles on NASA initiatives, papers looking at educational activities, and a State-of-the-Art section that gives an overview of specific topic areas in a comprehensive format written by an expert in the field.

Innovative Food Science & Emerging Technologies

ISSN: 1466-8564eISSN: 1878-5522
JUFO Level 1

Innovative Food Science and Emerging Technologies (IFSET) aims to provide the highest quality original contributions on new developments in food science and emerging technologies. The work described should be innovative either in the approach or in the methods used. The significance of the results either for the science community or for the food industry must also be specified. Papers submitted for publication must be novel and of high scientific quality and impact. Only papers which advance current scientific knowledge, with industrial relevance, which advance current understanding will be considered for review and publication. IFSET does not publish preliminary or confirmatory results. The journal publishes selected research and review articles dealing with engineering, scale-up, safety, sustainability, kinetics and mechanistic aspects of promising food processing technologies. Each article should make a clear contribution to further the understanding of a given science and technology area, and help clarify, when possible, whether or not it could be adopted by the food industry. Articles addressing the novel combination of more than one technology are within the scope of the journal, as are articles dealing with innovation and advances in all branches of food science, including food biotechnology, nutrition and material science.Topics covered include:new and emerging technologies for foods and food constituents; process-structure-function relationships at macro-, micro- and nano scale; tailor made foods;process control, process-packaging interactions;resource efficient processes; sustainable processes; kinetics and mechanisms of inactivation of micro-organisms, enzymes, viruses, allergens and toxins; nutrient retention, accessibility and availability;structural changes, texture and rheology;minimal processing; Example of processes include: high hydrostatic pressure processing; pulsed light or electric fields; microwave and radio-frequency heating;ultrasonics; cold plasma; irradiation; UV light; high pressure homogenization; ohmic heating;dense gases; thermal, non-thermal and sub-zero processing. The online Guide for Authors can be found at http://ees.elsevier.com/ifsetBenefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Innovative Higher Education

ISSN: 0742-5627eISSN: 1573-1758
JUFO Level 1

Innovative Higher Education is a refereed scholarly journal that strives to package fresh ideas in higher education in a straightforward and readable fashion. The four main purposes of Innovative Higher Education are: (1) to present descriptions and evaluations of current innovations and provocative new ideas with relevance for action beyond the immediate context in higher education: (2) to focus on the effect of such innovations on teaching and students: (3) to be open to diverse forms of scholarship and research methods by maintaining flexibility in the selection of topics deemed appropriate for the journal: and (4) to strike a balance between practice and theory by presenting manuscripts in a readable and scholarly manner to both faculty and administrators in the academic community.

Inorganic Chemistry

ISSN: 0020-1669eISSN: 1520-510X
JUFO Level 2

Inorganic Chemistry publishes fundamental studies, both experimental and theoretical, on all topics of inorganic chemistry from across the Periodic Table:

  • Coordination and Organometallic Chemistry
  • Bioinorganic Chemistry
  • Solid State, Materials, and Nanoscale Chemistry
  • Energy and Photochemistry
  • Catalysis
  • Theory and Computation

The journal places emphasis on scientifically rigorous studies of the synthesis and mechanisms, structure, thermodynamics, kinetics, reactivity, spectroscopy, bonding, and functional properties of new and significant known compounds. Only those manuscript submissions that sufficiently emphasize inorganic chemistry aspects will be considered. Illustrative examples of manuscripts that will not be considered include ones that describe poorly defined or characterized compounds or materials, or that are deemed to emphasize morphological, nanoscale, or larger scale attributes of materials, biological phenomena, analytical methods, speculative or predominantly technical aspects of theory, or technological applications.
