In a Linnean tradition, Nordic Journal of Botany publishes original contributions of relevance to the botanical biodiversity on earth. All aspects of the taxonomy, evolution, conservation and biogeography of plants (including algae and bryophytes) and fungi may be treated. Contributions devoted to systematics (including phylogenetics, genetic variation within and among taxa, nomenclature and descriptions and revisions of taxa), biogeography, conservation biology and recent changes and threats to botanical diversity are welcomed. In addition, manuscripts on macro- and micro-morphology, cytology, reproductive biology and ecophysiology are welcomed provided that the findings are presented in a taxonomic, evolutionary or biogeographical context. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts on original research within these fields as well as essays on recent developments in botany.

The North American Journal of Fisheries Management is intended to promote communication among managers, the journal addresses the maintenance, enhancement, and allocation of fisheries resources. Its contents chronicle the development of practical monitoring and management programs for finfish and exploitable shellfish in marine and freshwater environments. Contributions relate to the way species, habitats, and harvests may be managed to protect and enhance fish and fishery resources for societal benefits. Case histories of successes, failures, and side effects of fisheries programs help convey practical management experience to others.

The Northeastern Naturalist is a peer-reviewed interdisciplinary scientific journal with a regional focus on northeastern North America, including Canada. It features research articles on terrestrial, fresh-water, and marine organisms, and their environments. It focuses on field ecology, biology, behavior, biogeography, wildlife and fisheries management, taxonomy, evolution, anatomy, physiology, geology, and related fields. It is co-published with the Southeastern Naturalist. Both journals are identical in focus, format, quality, and features, thus providing an integrated publishing and research resource for the eastern part of North America.

Nota Lepidopterologica is the peer-reviewed journal of the Societas Europaea Lepidopterologica (SEL) published by Pensoft. The journal was founded in 1977 and publishes original research papers on taxonomy, morphology/anatomy, phylogenetics, biogeography, ecology, behaviour, conservation, and natural history of Lepidoptera, but also on any other aspects of lepidopterology. The journal is devoted mostly but not exclusively to Palaearctic Lepidoptera. Comprehensive studies in any of the above-mentioned areas are given preference over studies with a very limited scope. However, we also invite short contributions on important topics, such as invasive taxa, new records for large geographical areas, and other similar aspects. All papers are published in English. All submitted manuscripts are subject to peer-review by the leading specialists for the respective topic.

Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca is a peer-reviewed biannual journal aimed at disseminating significant research and original papers, critical reviews and short reviews on plant breeding, genetics, diversity and development of new methodologies that can be of interest to a wide audience of plant scientists in all areas of plant biology, agriculture, horticulture, and forestry. The journal encourages authors to frame their research questions and discuss their results in terms of the major questions of plant biology and agriculture, thereby maximizing the impact, spreading and value of their research. The papers must be of potential interest to a significant number of scientists and, if specific to a local situation, must be relevant to a wide body of knowledge in biology and agronomy. Articles should make a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge or toward a better understanding of existing biological and agricultural concepts. An international Editorial Board advises the journal. The total content of the journal may be used for educational, non-profit purposes without regard to copyright. The distribution of the material is encouraged with the condition that the authors and the source (Notulae Botanicae Horti Agrobotanici Cluj-Napoca or Not Bot Hort Agrobot Cluj) are mentioned.

Nova Hedwigia is an international journal publishing original, peerreviewed papers on current issues of taxonomy, morphology, ultrastructure and ecology of all groups of cryptogamic plants (including cyanophytes/cyanobacteria and fungi). The half-tone plates in Nova Hedwigia are known for their high quality, which makes them especially suitable for the reproduction of photomicrographs and scanning and transmission electron micrographs.
