Acta Neurologica Scandinavica aims to publish manuscripts of a high scientific quality representing original clinical, diagnostic or experimental work in neuroscience. The journla's scope is to act as an international forum for the dissemination of information advancing the science or practice of this subject area. Papers in English will be welcomed, especially those which bring new knowledge and observations from the application of therapies or techniques in the combating of a broad spectrum of neurological disease and neurodegenerative disorders. Relevant articles on the basic neurosciences will be published where they extend present understanding of such disorders. Priority will be given to review of topical subjects. Papers requiring rapid publication because of their significance and timeliness will be included as 'Clinical commentaries' not exceeding two printed pages, as will 'Clinical commentaries' of sufficient general interest. Debate within the speciality is encouraged in the form of 'Letters to the editor'. All submitted manuscripts falling within the overall scope of the journal will be assessed by suitably qualified referees. Submit your manuscript online.

When an article has been accepted to be published author receives email about adding information concerning invoicing. To be entitled for a discount author should select FinELib (consortium in Finland) from ”APC Payment Options”. After that author fills in information concerning the article. To the last box ”Institutional reference number of the cost centre or the project number” reference information should be filled in according to university’s invoicing instructions after this model: “project or internal order or/and 260xxxx + name of the orderer” Publisher sends an invoice to FinELib who will send it forward to Certia. Certia invoices the internal order/project added by author based on reference information on invoice. This is important since if there is no reference information Certia will have to ask for a correct posting target from interested parties.

Kun artikkeli on hyväksytty julkaistavaksi, kirjoittaja saa sähköpostia laskutusta koskevien tietojen lisäämisestä. Saadakseen alennuksen, kirjoittajan tulee valita FinELib (consortium in Finland) kohdasta ”APC Payment Options”. Sen jälkeen kirjoittaja täyttää lomakkeelle artikkelia koskevat tiedot. Viimeiseen kohtaan ”Institutional reference number of the cost centre or the project number” viitetiedot tulee täyttää yliopiston laskutusohjeen mukaisesti tämän mallin mukaan: "projekti tai sisäinen tilaus ja/tai 260xxxx + tilaajan nimi". Kustantaja lähettää laskun FinElibille joka edentää sen Certiaan. Certia laskuttaa laskulla olevien viitetietojen perusteella kirjoittajan merkitsemää kustannuspaikkaa/projektia. Agreement between FinELib and MJS enables publishing articles OA for corresponding authors with 8 % discount during the agreement period 1.5.2025-31.12.2026. When an article has been accepted to be published author receives email about adding information concerning invoicing. To be entitled for a discount author should select FinELib (consortium in Finland) from ”APC Payment Options”. After that author fills in information concerning the article. To the last box ”Institutional reference number of the cost centre or the project number” reference information should be filled in according to university’s invoicing instructions after this model: “project or internal order or/and 260xxxx + name of the orderer” Publisher sends an invoice to FinELib who will send it forward to Certia. Certia invoices the internal order/project added by author based on reference information on invoice. This is important since if there is no reference information Certia will have to ask for a correct posting target from interested parties.
