African Zoology continues Zoologica Africana and South African Journal of Zoology and is published by the Zoological Society of Southern Africa. Full-length papers and short communications on original research on any aspect of zoology in Africa (or that is relevant to Africa) and its surrounding oceans, seas and islands will be considered for publication, especially studies in: ecology; ethology; physiology; functional morphology; genetics; taxonomy; systematics and phylogeny; biodiversity and conservation.

This is the first academic journal that directly addresses the needs of scholars working in the important field of African Diaspora studies. It advances the analytical and interrogative discourses that constitute this distinctive interdisciplinary study of the deterritorialised and transnational nature of the African and Black Diaspora.Beyond essentialist modes of theorizing, the journal locates the movement of African descended populations (geographical, cultural, social, political and psychological) in the context of globalized and transnational spaces by emphasizing the centrality of African and Black Diaspora.The journal publishes research articles, commentaries and book reviews. All articles will be peer-reviewed. Authors interested in contributing should contact one of the three Editors. A special issue Navigating African Diaspora: Crossing, Belonging and Presence, is in preparation. The African Journal of Biotechnology (AJB), a new broad-based journal, is an open access journal that was founded on two key tenets: To publish the most exciting research in all areas of applied biochemistry, industrial microbiology, molecular biology, genomics and proteomics, food and agricultural technologies, and metabolic engineering. Secondly, to provide the most rapid turn-around time possible for reviewing and publishing, and to disseminate the articles freely for teaching and reference purposes. All articles published in AJB are peer-reviewed.

Afrika Matematika is the Journal of the African Mathematical Union.Its publication started in 1978. It provides a platform both for presenting high-level mathematical research done in Africa, and for bringing international mathematical research to Africa. Since relaunch in 2010, Afrika Matematika's Editorial Board has been restructured and widened to include distinguished mathematicians from various African countries, and from the other continents. Afrika Matematika is open to research articles in all areas of mathematics and its applications, and to authors worldwide. Afrika Matematika also publishes commissioned survey articles on topics of broad current interest in the mathematical community, including more general topics such as history and philosophy of mathematics and mathematical education. Scrutiny and selection of articles is by the accepted standards of peer review, drawing on the competence of specialist referees worldwide.
