The purpose of Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease is to provide in-depth, scholarly review articles about the care and management of persons with early kidney disease and kidney failure, as well as those at risk for kidney disease. Emphasis is on articles related to the early identification of kidney disease; prevention or delay in progression of kidney disease; the multidisciplinary case management of patients with chronic kidney disease or kidney failure, organ effects of kidney disease; epidemiology and outcomes research in chronic kidney disease; benefits and complications of the primary treatment methods, dialysis and transplantation; technical aspects of the delivery of uremia therapy; care of the critically ill patient with kidney failure in the intensive care setting; new therapies for kidney failure; and health care research in chronic kidney disease. The full spectrum of basic science through clinical care is covered in these reviews. Clinical care issues stress the multidisciplinary team approach to the care of kidney patients. Topics covered will be of interest to practicing nephrologists (pediatric and adult), nephrology fellows (pediatric and adult), nurses, technicians, dietitians, and social workers caring for patients with kidney disease. Advances in Life Course Research publishes articles dealing with various aspects of the human life course. Seeing life course research as an essentially interdisciplinary field of study, it invites and welcomes contributions from anthropology, biosocial science, demography, epidemiology and statistics, gerontology, economics, management and organisation science, policy studies, psychology, research methodology and sociology. Original empirical analyses, theoretical contributions, methodological studies and reviews accessible to a broad set of readers are welcome. Advances in Materials Science and Engineering is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of materials science and engineering.

The Journal covers advancement in materials and processes used to manufacture components and parts. Articles accepted for publication will report recent improvements in the properties of materials and development of recent technologies to manufacture components. The Journal will also cover new developments in processing and fabrication technologies of materials of various types including modelling, simulations, and experimental work. Equally, articles reporting innovation in manufacturing processes that reduce waste, enhance component performance, and ensure environmental sustainability will also be considered.

Specifically, the Journal will be interested in receiving manuscript contributions in the following areas:

• Effects of processing parameters on the macro- and micro-properties of all engineering materials.
• Innovations/ Improvements in processing techniques of all types of engineering materials including sustainability.
• The topics of articles may be in one or more of the following areas:
• • Metallic materials and their alloys; composite materials; non-metallic materials; bio-compatible materials; sensor materials.
  • Manufacturing processes such as forming; machining; joining; welding; laser processing; plasma processing; micro- and nano- processing; quality and reliability issues of products & their applications.

All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single blind and papers should be submitted to saleem.hashmi@dcu.ie.

Advances in Mathematics of Communications (AMC) publishes original research papers of the highest quality in all areas of mathematics and computer science which are relevant to applications in communications technology. For this reason, submissions from many areas of mathematics are invited, provided these show a high level of originality, new techniques, an innovative approach, novel methodologies, or otherwise a high level of depth and sophistication. Any work that does not conform to these standards will be rejected.Areas covered include coding theory, cryptology, combinatorics, finite geometry, algebra and number theory, but are not restricted to these. This journal also aims to cover the algorithmic and computational aspects of these disciplines. Hence, all mathematics and computer science contributions of appropriate depth and relevance to the above mentioned applications in communications technology are welcome.More detailed indication of the journal's scope is given by the subject interests of the members of the board of editors.All papers will undergo a thorough peer reviewing process unless the subject matter of the paper does not fit the journal; in this case, the author will be informed promptly. Every effort will be made to secure a decision in three months and to publish accepted papers within six months.AMC publishes four issues in 2013 in February, May, August and November and is a joint publication of the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Shandong University.
