ACS — Advances in Complex Systems aims to provide a unique medium of communication for multidisciplinary approaches, either empirical or theoretical, to the study of complex systems. The latter are seen as systems comprised of multiple interacting components, or agents. Nonlinear feedback processes, stochastic influences, specific conditions for the supply of energy, matter, or information may lead to the emergence of new system qualities on the macroscopic scale that cannot be reduced to the dynamics of the agents. Quantitative approaches to the dynamics of complex systems have to consider a broad range of concepts, from analytical tools, statistical methods and computer simulations to distributed problem solving, learning and adaptation. This is an interdisciplinary enterprise.The goal of ACS, therefore, is to promote cross-fertilization of ideas among all the scientific disciplines having to deal with their own complex systems. These include, but are not limited to, biology, physics, engineering, computer sciences, economics, cognitive science and the social sciences. It is in fact the exchange of concepts and techniques — developed within areas as diverse as spin glass physics, game theory, molecular biology, evolutionary optimization, or psychology — which has proven itself to be a major driving force in complex systems research.ACS predominantly publishes original research articles in the field of complex systems and encourages submissions of papers which result from collaborations across traditional academic disciplines.

Advances in Computational Mathematics aims to publish high quality, accessible and original articles at the forefront of applied mathematics, with the potential for impact across the sciences. The journal places a particular emphasis on numerical methods, modeling, and simulation.

Advances in Condensed Matter Physics is a peer-reviewed open access journal that publishes state-of-the-art reviews and original research papers in all areas of condensed matter physics.

Advances in Difference Equations is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. The theory of difference equations, the methods used, and their wide applications have advanced beyond their adolescent stage to occupy a central position in applicable analysis. In fact, in the last 12 years, the proliferation of the subject has been witnessed by hundreds of research articles, several monographs, many international conferences, and numerous special sessions.The theory of differential and difference equations forms two extreme representations of real world problems. For example, a simple population model when represented as a differential equation shows the good behavior of solutions whereas the corresponding discrete analogue shows the chaotic behavior. The actual behavior of the population is somewhere in between. Articles published in Advances in Difference Equations will include such situations.The aim of Advances in Difference Equations is to report new developments in the field of difference equations, and their applications in all fields. Advances in Difference Equations will accept high-quality articles containing original research results and survey articles of exceptional merit.

Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy”www.jocb.euJournal of the Polish Brachytherapy SocietyThe “Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy” is an international and multidisciplinary magazine that will publish papers of original research as well as reviews of articles. Main subjects of the journal include: clinical brachytherapy, combined modality treatment, advances in radiobiology, hyperthermia and tumour biology, as well as physical aspects relevant to brachytherapy, particularly in the field of imaging, dosimetry and radiation therapy planning. Original contributions will include experimental studies of combined modality treatment, tumor sensitization and normal tissue protection, molecular radiation biology, and clinical investigations of cancer treatment in brachytherapy. Another field of interest will be the educational part of the magazine.The “Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy” publish original peer-reviewed papers, technical advances, reviews of articles, and point/counterpoint of opinions on controversial issues. Original articles regarding any aspect of brachytherapy always are welcome. Educational papers will be prepared and presented by invited authors. The Gastroenterological Society of Taiwan (GEST) was founded officially in Taipei on 15th March, 1970. Over the past 42 years, GEST has grown from a small group of practicing Gastroenterologists to an organization with over 1,600 members. The members are composed of practicing gastroenterologists and hepatologists, and researchers in basic gastroenterology and hepatology.

The mission of GEST is to enhance the quality of patient care, train young fellows, promote research in gastroenterology and hepatology-related fields, and to develop networks through regular convention and education programs. Mentoring, knowledge exchange, and dedication to professional growth are among the core values of GEST and its members.

AIDM aims to promote clinical and scientific research in digestive diseases in Taiwan, and to disseminate this research to the international community of medical and healthcare professionals. The journal accepts reviews, perspectives, original articles, short communications, case reports, images and challenge, and letters to the editor.
