Journal Guide

In an effort to distribute its content to the widest audience possible, CMGH is an open access, all-digital journal. We will maximize our digital platform by including graphical abstracts, animated illustrations, large data sets, and video microscopy, endoscopy, and whole animal imaging approaches. Initially, CMGH will be a bi-monthly publication, moving to a monthly publication in its second year. CMGH will debut its first issue in January 2015. Our editors will rapidly and fairly review submissions with the assistance of an expert editorial board and external reviews. Following rigorous peer review, accepted manuscripts will be published online within days of the final decision.

CMGH is led by Jerrold R. Turner, MD, PhD, AGAF (The University of Chicago) and Associate Editors James R. Goldenring, MD, PhD, AGAF (Vanderbilt University School of Medicine) and Rebecca G. Wells, MD (University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine). Drs. Turner, Goldenring, and Wells will also draw from the vast experience of their advisory committee, which is composed of AGA president and past editor-in-chief of Gastroenterology Anil K. Rustgi, MD, AGAF, AGA past-president Mark Donowitz, MD, AGAF, AGA vice president and past editor-in-chief of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Michael Camilleri, MD, AGAF, current editor-in-chief of Gastroenterology, Bishr Omary, PhD, MD, AASLD past president James Boyer, MD, and accomplished investigator and Outstanding AGA Women in Science inductee Susan Henning, PhD, AGAF.

Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology publishes original research concerned with the analysis of neuronal and brain function at the cellular and subcellular levels. The journal offers timely, peer-reviewed articles that describe anatomic, genetic, physiologic, pharmacologic, and biochemical approaches to the study of neuronal function and the analysis of elementary mechanisms. Studies are presented on isolated mammalian tissues and intact animals, with investigations aimed at the molecular mechanisms or neuronal responses at the level of single cells. Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology also presents studies of the effects of neurons on other organ systems, such as analysis of the electrical or biochemical response to neurotransmitters or neurohormones on smooth muscle or gland cells.

Central European Journal of Medicine (CEJMed) is an international journal presenting research results in all medical fields, with the aim of becoming the premier source of high quality research from Central and Eastern Europe. The CEJMed is peer-reviewed and is published quarterly in paper and electronic version. The language of the CEJMed is English. Offerings include research articles, rapid communications, critical reviews, case reports, letters to the editor, meta-analyses, commentaries, opinion pieces and book reviews.

Central Nervous System Agents in Medicinal Chemistry aims to cover all the latest and outstanding developments in medicinal chemistry and rational drug design for the discovery of new central nervous system agents.

Published on behalf of the International Headache Society,Cephalalgia provides an international forum for original research papers, review articles and short communications on topics such as: diagnosis and management of primary and secondary headaches and related syndromes, pathophysiology , pharmacology, epidemiology, imaging, genetics, medico-legal aspects, migraine and pharmacoeconomics.

Cerebral Cortex publishes papers on the development, organization, plasticity, and function of the cerebral cortex, including the hippocampus. Studies with clear relevance to the cerebral cortex, such as the thalamocortical relationship or cortico-subcortical interactions, are also included.The journal is multidisciplinary and covers the large variety of modern neurobiological and neuropsychological techniques, including anatomy, biochemistry, molecular neurobiology, electrophysiology, behavior, artificial intelligence, and theoretical modeling. In addition to research articles, special features such as brief reviews, book reviews, and commentaries are included.

A rapidly-growing field, stroke and cerebrovascular research is unique in that it involves a variety of specialties such as neurology, internal medicine, surgery, radiology, epidemiology, cardiology, hematology, psychology and rehabilitation. ''Cerebrovascular Diseases'' is an international forum which meets the growing need for sophisticated, up-to-date scientific information on clinical data, diagnostic testing, and therapeutic issues, dealing with all aspects of stroke and cerebrovascular diseases. It contains original contributions, reviews of selected topics and clinical investigative studies, recent meeting reports and work-in-progress as well as discussions on controversial issues. All aspects related to clinical advances are considered, while purely experimental work appears if directly relevant to clinical issues.

Cerebrovascular Diseases Extra is an Open Access and online-only journal that focuses on informing the practice of stroke medicine and patient care in different world regions. This journal accepts original research papers, reviews, case series of particular interest, commentaries on clinical topics, case-based ethical issues, practice management tips, novel systems of care, and health policy discussions. Cerebrovascular Diseases Extra publishes content based on both independent submissions and submissions transferred from Cerebrovascular Diseases.

ChemBioChem is an international forum for short communications, full papers, reviews & minireviews and highlights & concepts. ChemBioChem (Impact Factor 2009: 3.824) is a source for important primary and secondary information across the whole field of chemical biology, bio(in)organic chemistry, and biochemistry.
