ISSN: 0892-7014eISSN: 1029-2454
JUFO Level 1

Biofouling is an international, peer-reviewed, multi-discliplinary journal which publishes original articles and mini-reviews and provides a forum for publication of pure and applied work on protein, microbial, fungal, plant and animal fouling and its control, as well as studies of all kinds on biofilms and bioadhesion. Papers may be based on studies relating to characterisation, attachment, growth and control on any natural (living) or man-made surface in the freshwater, marine or aerial environments, including fouling, biofilms and bioadhesion in the medical, dental, and industrial context. Specific areas of interest include antifouling technologies and coatings including transmission of invasive species, antimicrobial agents, biological interfaces, biomaterials, microbiologically influenced corrosion, membrane biofouling, food industry biofilms, biofilm based diseases and indwelling biomedical devices as substrata for fouling and biofilm growth. Rapid Online Publication Biofouling now offers even faster publication for its authors. With our Build Issue service, we aim to publish articles within three weeks of receiving the accepted paper*. Articles are entered straight into the online issue upon receipt of the corrected proofs and thereby receiving page numbers immediately. we anticipate that this rapid production service will allow top end research to reach its audiences even sooner , without compromising the peer-review process and whilst continuing to ensure our commitment to publishing research of the highest quality. *This process relies heavily on the immediate return of the copyright form and the return of author corrections within 48hrs of receipt. Peer Review All articles published in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees. Biological Conservation

ISSN: 0006-3207eISSN: 1873-2917
JUFO Level 2

Biological Conservation is an international leading journal in the discipline of conservation biology. The journal publishes articles spanning a diverse range of fields that contribute to the biological, sociological, and economic dimensions of conservation and natural resource management. The primary aim of Biological Conservation is the publication of high-quality papers that advance the science and practice of conservation, or which demonstrate the application of conservation principles for natural resource management and policy. Therefore it will be of interest to a broad international readership.Biological Conservation invites the submission of research articles, reviews (including systematic reviews and perspectives), short communications and letters to the editor dealing with all aspects of conservation science, including theoretical and empirical investigations into the consequences of human actions for the diversity, structure and function of terrestrial, aquatic or marine ecosystems. Such papers may include quantitative assessments of extinction risk, fragmentation effects, spread of invasive organisms, conservation genetics, conservation management, global change effects on biodiversity, landscape or reserve design and management, restoration ecology, or resource economics. The journal's coverage of interdisciplinary topics within conservation biology is highly relevant to scientists at academic, research and non-governmental institutions. The journal also provides practical applications of conservation research for land/resource managers and policy makers charged with protecting biological diversity and ultimately implementing conservation science into conservation practice.Biological Conservation is an affiliate publication of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB). SCB members can obtain a personal subscription to this journal through the Society.

Biological Journal of the Linnean Society

ISSN: 0024-4066eISSN: 1095-8312
JUFO Level 1

The Biological Journal of the Linnean Society publishes papers concerned with the process of organic evolution in the broadest sense. It particularly welcomes contributions (up to a maximum of 12 000 words) that illustrate the unifying concepts of evolutionary biology with evidence, either observational or theoretical, from any relevant field of the biological sciences. We are especially keen to receive manuscripts on evolutionary genomics. Potential authors should be aware that papers on specialized subjects are discouraged. The Biological Journal succeeded (in 1969) the Proceedings of the Society, the journal in which Darwin and Wallace published their seminal papers in 1858. Also published on behalf of the Linnean Society: Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society and Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society.

The entire editorial board of Biological Research is committed to processing manuscripts rapidly. Submitted manuscripts will be critically refereed by at least two independent reviewers who are either members of the Editorial Board or ad hoc referees. Reviewers, experts in the area to which the manuscript pertains, will critically analyze the manuscript in a timely manner. Acceptance is based upon scientific content, originality and presentation of the material. Accepted manuscripts will be published within 3 months of their final approval date. The official abbreviation of Biological Research is Biol Res., and it should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips. .

Biological Rhythm Research

ISSN: 0929-1016eISSN: 1744-4179
JUFO Level 1

The principal aim of Biological Rhythm Research is to unite in one scientific journal all reports in the field of biological rhythm research which in the past were scattered over many scientific journals covering a great number of different disciplines. By bringing these papers together the Editorial Board stimulates interdisciplinary rhythm research not only because of the similarity of the methods applied in different fields of research, but also because of the increasing conviction of many scientists that, apart from the direct mechanisms involved in various rhythmic phenomena, many of these may be subjected to common extraneous controlling or masking influences. The Journal publishes original scientific research papers, review papers, short notes on research in progress, book reviews, summaries of activities, symposia and congresses of national and international organizations dealing with rhythmic phenomena. --- Disclaimer for Scientific, Technical and Social Science Publications Taylor & Francis make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all the information (the 'Content') contained in its publications. However, Taylor & Francis and its agents and licensors make no representations or warranties whatsoever as to the accuracy, completeness or suitability for any purpose of the Content and disclaim all such representations and warranties whether express or implied to the maximum extent permitted by law.
