ARPHA Conference Abstracts (ACA) is an innovative open access, peer reviewed, human- and machine-readable journal-style platform designed to assist conference organisers and participants in submission, peer review, editorial management, production, publication and dissemination of conference abstracts in any field of science. The whole process takes place within a single online collaborative environment: ARPHA Writing Tool. Thus, ACA is recommended as a convenient abstract-submission portal to serve as such as soon as a conference’s call for abstracts is opened.
ARPHA Proceedings is a novel, open access, human- and machine-readable platform designed to assist conference organisers in authoring, submission, peer review, editorial management, publication and dissemination of conference proceedings in any field of science, published with DOI in semantic HTML, XML and PDF.
ARPHA Proceedings allows for innovative publication of extended proceedings that may include figures, citations and data. Video recordings, posters and presentations can be uploaded in bulk after the conference.
ARPHA Proceedings is supported by the ARPHA journal publishing platform, which is the first workflow to support the full life cycle of a manuscript, from writing through submission, peer review, publication, dissemination and archiving within a single online collaborative environment.
Bulgarian Society of Medical Sciences Journal (BSMS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, online and print, integrative journal of the Bulgarian Society of Medical Sciences, which aims to establish a tradition of meaningful writing that, seriously and unhurriedly, addresses ideas and researches important to the development of medicine. We beg the question how to think of medicine as a science without turning it into a politically-scientific vehicle for advancement and career development for its own sake. The material to be published should be useful to a wide range of professionals from different specialties. The journal has a special interest in history of medicine as a science, undeniably necessary to think properly about the future and the continuity of knowledge.
African Invertebrates is an international peer-reviewed journal that covers the taxonomy, systematics, biology, biogeography, ecology, conservation and palaeontology of Afrotropical invertebrates, whether terrestrial, freshwater or marine, published jointly by the Council of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum and Pensoft Publishers. A printed version of the journal is produced twice a year. All contributions are published in English (British Standard), with an option to add an abstract in any other language that uses Latin or Cyrillic alphabet. When preparing manuscripts, authors are encouraged to make use of extensive holdings of the KwaZulu-Natal Museum and other South African museums and collections, and to deposit holotypes (paratypes) and voucher specimens in recognised South African institutions.
Aquatic Invasions is an open access, peer-reviewed international journal focusing on biological invasions in both inland and coastal water ecosystems from around the world. It was established in 2006 as initiative of the International Society of Limnology (SIL) Working Group on Aquatic Invasive Species (WGAIS) with start-up funding from the European Commission Sixth Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development Integrated Project ALARM. Aquatic Invasions provides a forum for professionals involved in research of aquatic invasive species, including a focus on the following: • Advances in species identification • Patterns of species dispersal, including range extensions with global change • Population dynamics • Ecological and evolutionary impacts • Prediction of new invasions.
The scope of the journal covers integrative taxonomy, morphology/anatomy, phylogeny (molecular or morphology-based), bio- and phylogeography, and palaeontology. Purely descriptive work, faunistic work, and (usually) work with a strong regional focus are outside the scope. Descriptions of new taxa are welcome, but must be embedded in a novel wider context (e.g. a phylogenetic, evolutionary, or biogeographical framework).
Atomic Layer Deposition, international journal – ALDJ- is a diamond open access journal, and publishes peer reviewed scientific articles in all aspects of Atomic Layer Deposition and related alternating vapor phase technologies, such as Molecular Layer Deposition, Vapor Phase Infiltration, Atomic Layer Etching and more. The journal is open to literature research publications from all over the world, submitted in the English language. Articles must be original and arising from the authors’ own research. Prior to publication, they must undergo an external double blind review process.
Biosystematics and Ecology (BiosystEcol) is a scientific peer-reviewed, open access journal, designed to rapidly publish contributions on a wide range of ecology and biosystematics related papers. The key focus is to provide biodiversity data, such as catalogi, checklists and interdisciplinary research to the scientific community while ensuring maximum possible accessibility, usability, and transparency.
Biodiversity Information Science and Standards (BISS) is an innovative open access journal publishing abstracts related to biodiversity standards, methods, guidelines, models and applications in biodiversity informatics submitted to Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG) for presentation at annual meetings.
The journal also publishes conventional research articles. They will only be considered if they illustrate the development or application of new methods and approaches in biodiversity informatics in the form of case studies.
BISS is published on the ARPHA journal publishing platform, which is the first workflow to support the full life cycle of a manuscript, from writing through submission, peer review, publication and dissemination within a single online collaborative platform.
Bulgarian Cardiology is a peer-reviewed, open access journal first published in 1995 as a scientific body of the Bulgarian Society of Cardiology.
Since its launch the journal has been an important forum of the cardiological community in Bulgaria. Scientific achievements of Bulgarian medical specialists, important practical guidelines of the European Cardiology Society and other scientific publications are published. The high quality of scientific output is the journal’s priority.
publishes original articles mainly on morphology, biology, behaviour and physiology of insects and other arthropods; control of insects, mites and other arthropod pests with particular reference to biocontrol and integrated pest management.Bulletin of Insectology is linked to ISPI on-line abstract services.
Check List is a peer-reviewed online journal, devoted to publishing biodiversity data related to species’ geographic distributions. Thus, our primary mission is to fill the so-called Wallacean shortfall (Lomolino 2004) and to improve our knowledge of how life is distributed on the planet in order to better preserve it. These data are essential for studies on biogeography and provide a baseline for the conservation of biodiversity. The first step to undertaking effective conservation action is to maintain records of the distribution of species.
